Our focus is keeping your safe. As a physician-owned company we are very familiar with how to test in the safest manner. Coronavirus can spread more easily indoors than outdoors. Your exposure to our healthcare worker is minimal since you are tested curbside (outside) whenever possible and you are able to avoid waiting inside at a testing center.
Most international travel requires COVID-19 PCR testing and results within a 72 hour period. By pairing with our clia certified labs, we are able to test and provide results nationwide within 12-48 hour time frame. When using our next day house call option, testing must be done within time for FEDEX overnight for results.
For our house call option, from start to finish you do not have to leave the comfort of your home except to step into your vehicle at home at the time of your appointment. You book online, receive a test kit by mail, our mobile phlebotomist tests you at your home, curbside and then the mobile phlebotomist sends the kit back to our lab. Your results are back according to the result option you choose.
For our office curbside option, you will find that it is easy to make an appointment, drive to the office setting and get tested from the comfort of your car. Results are back to you according to the result option you chose at booking.
Your medical information is private. You will receive your results through a secure email.
We do not bill insurance - our services are self-pay only and tend to help people who need quick testing for travel, personal screening, clearance for work or school (reasons where an insurance company may not fully cover testing).
Same day and next day COVID-19 RT-PCR test. The RT-PCR test is generally required for international travel. A new service we office is the Accula point of care RT-PCR (in select areas) with a 1-3 hour turnaround time for results and the rapid antigen and the molecular NAAT test Lucira which is accepted by some countries for travel. Please read the description of each test carefully before ordering and check with your destination country or airline to make sure it is accepted.
For our housecall option, daily, except Sunday. A list of appointment times will show as you schedule your test. Since most of our offices are closed on Sundays, if you test on a Saturday, your results will not be back until Monday. For our office location, schedules may vary. When you book an office curbside test, you will be able to see the available times. Please call, text or email us if you do not see a time that you need.
A mobile phlebotomist will perform the test at your home, curbside and either a physician, medical assistant or phlebotomist will perform the test when you choose office, curbside.
Same, next day or 1-3 hours depending on the test you choose and location. In select areas in Maryland and Virginia we can arrive with our testing kit and provide same or next day results, you choose. For other locations across the US, we mail the kit to you, a mobile phlebotomist tests you and you receive results the following evening.
You will receive your results via a secure email and you can print out, download or display digitally to your airline, employer or a school.
DM Covid-19 Test provides Covid-19 testing across most of the US with the exclusion of Hawaii, New Mexico, Alaska and some remote areas of the US. If you believe you live in a remote area please consider calling our office first before booking an appointment.
Yes. While you are booking your appointment you will be asked for your credit card information and your credit card will be charged.
There are no refunds for cancelled appointments.
Our company uses multiple CLIAA certified labs across the country. Two of the tests our labs use are the TaqPath or the DTPM COVID-19 RT-PCR Test. The tests have been authorized
by FDA under Emergency Use Authorization to detect active virus. The SARS-CoV-2 RNA is generally detectable in respiratory specimens during the acute phase of infection. Positive results are indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management decisions. Negative results must be combined with clinical observations, patient history, and epidemiological information.
Accula POC RT-PCR
We are now also offering a rapid RT-PCR test through Accula at our Columbia, MD, Philadelphia, PA and Fredericksburg location and for some house calls in the Columbia, MD area. This rapid RT_PCR test is not always accepted for travel so please review your airline information prior to booking to make sure this test meets the qualifications that you need.
Rapid Antigen test
We are also offering a rapid Antigen test in select offices. Again this is not generally accepted for airline travel so if you are choosing this test for airline travel please review your airline information prior to booking to make sure this test meets the qualifications that you need.
You will receive your results via a secure email that can be printed out or shown digitally to an airline, employer etc.
Positive results are indicative of the presence of SARS-CoV-2 RNA. Negative results do not preclude SARS-CoV-2 infection and should not be used as the sole basis for patient management and decisions. It is important to note that we do not provide clinical judgement with your results. A positive or negative result should always be discussed with your primary care provider.
DM Covid-19 Test covers the majority of the US with exception of Hawaii, Alaska , New Mexico and some remote areas. if you live in one of these states or a remote area and desire testing then please call us.
Yes, as we provide testing across the majority of the US. However, an additional fee for testing in remote areas areas where our mobile phlebotomist may have to travel longer distance than usual, may apply. This additional fee would be discussed with you prior to charging it and can range from an additionl $50-$150.
We provide information about our lab - accreditation credentials and CLIAA certification, the type of test and collection time as well as client identifiers such as date of birth and passport information (if necessary and provided to us by you).
All results come back by the next evening or night. If you live in an area where same day testing is available then they come back the same day/night.
You will receive your results via secure email. You can then print the results or show them digitially to your airline.
We recommend that you call your physician immediately and follow the CDC rules on “what to do if I test positive for Coronavirus” found at cdc.gov. We will report your positive results to the necessary state health department. We do not provide medical advice.
In some cases we mail test kits to our clients prior to your test date. When your test kit arrives please set it aside in a safe space until your test date. The box that the kit arrives in will be the same box used to send it back to our lab so please open the box carefully by removing the clear tape on the outside of the box and do not destroy the box. Clear instructions will be inside for you and the phlebotomist who will test you.
It is the client's responsibility to make sure the test you book is covered for your travel. The best way to do this is to contact your airline and the embassy of your destination country. We are not an accredited vendor for Hawaii so please do not book a test with us for travel to Hawaii otherwise our high compexity CLIA certified CAP accredited tests are generally accepted everywhere, the accula tests which are only CLIA certified are accepted in most but not all countries.
